Our Warranty, Care Instructions, & Additional Terms
Our “Make it Right” Policy
Our mission is to build beautiful glass showers, mirrors, and railings, made to your exact size and specifications every time. We hold ourselves to a high standard, but we know that mistakes can happen. If we ever fall short, we will do everything we can to make it right. Everyone makes mistakes; what sets us apart is how we handle them.
Caring for Your Frameless Shower Enclosure
Your new glass enclosure is built to last for decades, and a few minutes of simple care each week will keep it looking as clear and bright as the day we installed it. Here's everything you need to know.
Your First 24 Hours
The silicone sealant around your enclosure needs time to cure fully. Please wait at least 24 hours after installation before using the shower, and avoid pushing on or adjusting the glass panels during that time. This helps the seal set properly and makes sure your enclosure stays watertight for years to come.
Caring for Your Glass
The best habit: squeegee after every shower. Most water spots and soap buildup come from water left to dry on the glass. A quick pass with a squeegee takes about 30 seconds and does more to keep your glass clear than any cleaner. Work from top to bottom, then wipe the edges and bottom of the glass with a soft towel.
Weekly cleaning. Use a soft, non-abrasive cloth or sponge with a mild, non-abrasive glass cleaner or a few drops of dish soap in warm water. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
Hard water spots. If mineral deposits build up, a solution of equal parts white vinegar and water works well on the glass. Spray it on, let it sit for a few minutes, wipe it off, and rinse thoroughly. Keep vinegar away from natural stone surfaces like marble or travertine, as the acid can etch them.
What to avoid on glass:
Abrasive cleaners, scouring powders, or scrub pads (including the green side of kitchen sponges)
Steel wool, razor blades, or scrapers
Harsh chemicals such as bleach, ammonia-heavy cleaners, or anything containing hydrofluoric acid
Letting cleaning products dry on the glass
Caring for Your Hardware
Your hinges, handles, clamps, and brackets come in premium finishes that are durable but can be damaged by the wrong cleaning products.
Routine cleaning. Wipe hardware with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry it completely. Drying is especially important for finishes like matte black, brushed nickel, and oil-rubbed bronze, where water spots show more easily.
What to avoid on hardware:
Abrasive cleaners or pads, which can scratch or dull the finish
Bleach, ammonia, and acidic cleaners (including vinegar), which can discolor or corrode finishes over time. If you use vinegar on the glass, avoid spraying the hardware, or rinse and dry it right away.
Leaving cleaners sitting on metal surfaces
Do not use WD40 or similar on hardware. The hardware shouldn’t need anything extra. If you feel it does, call us first.
Use your enclosure as designed. Please don't hang heavy towels or robes on door handles, lean on or pull yourself up using the door, or let the door swing hard against walls or fixtures. These can stress the hinges and throw the door out of alignment.
Periodic check-up. Every few months, check that hinges and handles feel secure. If you notice a door sagging, rubbing, or not closing smoothly, give us a call rather than trying to adjust it yourself; tempered glass is strong but can be damaged if hardware is loosened incorrectly.
Caring for the Silicone Seals
The clear silicone along the edges of your enclosure keeps water where it belongs.
Keep it dry and clean. Wiping down the silicone lines after showering, along with good bathroom ventilation (run your exhaust fan during and for 20 to 30 minutes after showers), is the best way to prevent mildew.
Gentle cleaning. Clean silicone with mild soap and water and a soft brush or cloth. For mildew spots, a mild bathroom cleaner designed for grout and caulk can help. Avoid scrubbing hard with stiff brushes or picking at the silicone, which can loosen it from the surface.
When to call us. Silicone can wear over time. If you notice gaps, peeling, discoloration that won't clean off, or water escaping the enclosure, contact us for advice.
Our Labor and Materials Warranty
Nearly all of our projects have three components; labor, glass/mirror, and hardware. Each of our new installation projects comes with a one year warranty for labor and hardware. There are very few moving parts with shower glass, railing, and partition projects. It is unlikely, but possible that a defective piece of hardware gets installed and goes unnoticed during installation. If a defective piece of hardware is identified during or after installation, any labor and hardware required to make it right is covered for one year from the installation date.
Additional Terms & Notes:
Refund Policy
Because each project is custom made to your specifications, all sales are final and payments are non-refundable once received. Exceptions may be made at our discretion on a case-by-case basis.
Lead Times
Every glass and mirror project is custom made. Each panel is cut to your exact measurements and, where required for safety, tempered. Because of this, please allow 7 to 14 days from measurement to installation.
On rare occasions, a manufacturer may produce a panel with a defect. If this happens, we will have the panel remade as quickly as possible. Please note that we are not responsible for delays caused by manufacturing errors.
Tile Damage
Installing a frameless enclosure requires drilling into existing tile to mount clips and hinges. While uncommon, tile can occasionally crack during drilling. If this occurs, we have relationships with tile contractors to replace it before we complete your installation. We cover the cost of labor; the homeowner/customer is responsible for the cost of the replacement tile. We recommend keeping a few spare tiles from your original installation, as matching tile can be difficult to source later.
Reach out if you have any questions about our make it right policy, warranty, or additional terms. As we have hopefully made clear through our policies and conversations with you that we are here and happy to help.
